O meni

Moje ime je Matija in te lepo pozdravljam na spletni strani moje blagovne znamke MY HAPPY PLACE.

Na njej predstavljam lesene izdelke, ki jih izdelujem po navdihu.

V kreiranju in izdelovanju le teh resnično uživam.

Izdelke izdelujem izključno iz slovenskega masivnega lesa.

Les mi je všeč, ker je naraven material, čudovitega vonja, topel in prijeten na dotik, čudovitih struktur ter se ga lahko obdeluje.

Blizu so mi naravne, organske oblike, s pridihom modernosti.

Pri svojem delu si pomagam z ročno-strojnim rezbarjenjem.

Večino predstavljenih izdelkov je mogoče kupiti ali naročiti.

Les ponovno zbrusim, tako da izginejo vse stare zareze in poškodbe ter ga zaščitim z naravnim oljem za les.

Bird nesting box - cherry (completed project)

The bird cherry hatchery is the result of my thinking about how I envision the natural, organic shape of the nesting box.
I found myself imagining it as a bird’s egg shape.
I first shaped a piece of wood into an egg and then sawed it in half.
Then I hollowed out both halves, drilled a hole in one, and glued them together.
I also made a special ‘canopy’ or entrance and a ‘landing’ stick.

Fruit bowl # 1 (completed project)

My first attempt at making a wooden fruit bowl.
Since I didn't have any attachments for grinding the internal curves at that time, I made a fairly shallow recess, just enough to be able to grind it with the existing grinding attachment on the angle grinder.
The dish is interesting because it overflows with three layers, dark middle wood, lighter outer wood, and bark.

Wooden sword for twins (completed project)

I wanted the swords to be more than just an ordinary toy, so I attributed the following dedication to them:
Young man, Taras / Tadej!
This wooden sword is given to you for your birthday by the guardians of the forest, who live deep in the dark forests of the Polhov Gradec.
That is why this sword has a special power.
If you have it with you in bed at night, it can protect you from nightmares. (Taras)
If you protect it carefully, it can protect you from severe falls and injuries. (Tadej)
On one side of the sword is engraved in ancient script your name, and on the other side is written your special power, which you must decipher for yourself with the help of this ancient alphabet (rune).
The sword is for you only, so keep it carefully.

Children's Indian tent - Teepe (completed project)

We made teepe together with Sabina as a birthday present for a two-year-old girl.
I made the wooden sticks, and Sabina sewed the coat. We were both very excited about the product.
First, I chose suitably dry and thick chestnut sticks and sanded them finely.
In the fabric store we bought suitable fabric with a children's motif and a string to connect the rods.
The most challenging was to properly measure and cut the fabric and sew it together. I also drilled holes in the rods, through which we tied the fabric to the rods so that it did not move up or down.

Bird feeder - birch (completed project)

All of my bird feeders and nesting boxes are characterized by being oval in shape and therefore egg-like.
The shape is natural and at the same time contains a touch of modernity.
This bird feeder has openings on both sides so that the birds have access from both sides.
I have placed it in front of the house for the third winter and I find that the birds adore it.
